Friday favourites

All too often I reach Friday evening rejoicing in the fact that it’s the weekend. Well now I’ve decided I should look back over the previous seven days and perhaps blog about fab things from the week.

The weekend kicked off with a relaxing start last Friday when I got treated to a spa day with one of my best pals at Clarice House – bliss. Saturday my parents came over for the day to help us with our latest outdoor DIY project – digging up part of the front garden to extend the driveway. My Dad is the king of digging, and so him and the hubby had soon cleared half the area. The best bit about this was spending a whole day with my mum, we had fun working up a design for a counterpane which I will hopefully finish soon. We rounded the evening off with a homemade curry – all recipes from the wonderful Rick Stein India book, one of my favorites. I love weekends like that.

A busy week at work has meant I’ve not done much in the evenings this week but last night I finalised designs for some cushions for my Aunties sitting room and I should be able to crack on with them this weekend.
I’ve also got carried away this week on Pinterest looking a pretty table decorations for Christmas – someone stop me… I love this little idea for Christmas napkin holders, (courtesy of Ode to Things), so simple
